What is Life Teen?

Life Teen is a ministry designed to meet the spiritual needs of High Schoolers in wherever they are in their faith journey. Life Teen has weekly gatherings called Life Nights, weekly small group formation opportunities, and an array of trips all focused on leading them closer to Christ.

What is Edge?

Edge is a ministry designed with the same dynamic mindset as Life Teen but focused on the spiritual needs of Middle Schoolers. The weekly gatherings for this ministry are called Edge Nights.

Who can go to Life Teen?

Any High Schooler can go to Life Teen and any Middle Schooler can go to Edge, whether they are Catholic or not. These ministries are planned to be welcoming places for your child and any of their friends.

Do I need to register for Life Teen and Edge?

While there is no cost to come to youth ministry, it is important for us to have contact information for any student that comes regularly. You can fill out the registration online right here.

When do these ministries meet?

Life Teen meets Sundays following the 5:30PM Mass. The Life Nights typically start at 6:30PM with dinner and go until 8:30PM in the Parish Hall. Edge meets on Mondays 6:30PM to 8:00PM in the Parish Gym. For additional events, formation groups, and trips please check the master Calendar on the home page.

My child is hesitant, can you help invite my child?

We absolutely can help with welcoming your child even before they come to an event. If you email mspecht@st-raphaels.com we can discuss any hesitations and work on a strategy to overcome them. We can’t guarantee that we can change their mind but we can try.

Who leads these ministries?

For both Life Teen and Edge we have a team of adults that make these ministries possible. Each adult has been trained on making the ministry a safe and welcoming space. As a team we work together to make sure each individual has the opportunity to encounter God in a profound way.

How can I help or give back?
